About Cindy

Cindy's career began in hospitality design, and she's spent over four decades creating elevated yet livable residential spaces that stand the test of time. In 1985, she launched Cindy McCord Design Inc., driven by a love for detail, craftsmanship, and client connection. Her work blends rich textures, layered color, and a mix of old and new to bring a sense of timeless style to each project.

From full-scale new construction to smaller renovations, Cindy takes a hands-on approach from concept to completion. Many of her clients return again and again - something she values deeply, as lasting relationships are at the heart of her practice.

Cindy's projects have been featured in numerous publications, including Veranda, Southern Home, The Cottage Journal, Southern Lady, At Home Memphis & Mid South, and River City Lifestyle. Her work has also been showcased in books, such as A Cottage for Every Season: Inspiring Homes with Classic Charm and Spectacular Homes of Tennessee.

Outside of work, Cindy is happy to have been married for 35 years and has three children and one grandchild. She finds joy in travel and family time while continuing to draw inspiration from the world around her.
